Stratgey is commonly identified as deciding how the organisation intends to be competetive against others. the strategy used by the Canberra United soccer club to force Ellyse Perry to choose between cricket or soccer is designed to ultimately improve the team performance by having all players available for every training session.

Work Specialization - James Smart
Work specialization enables individuals to specialise in performing a limited number of tasks. It is seen as a form of breaking down jobs in a way of increasing productivity. it must be balanced against the risk of making the work too monotonous in order to avoid poor quality or accidents.

Hitler's Olympics
The 1936 Berlin Olympics were hosted by Nazi Germany who spun a very professional looking olympics which only few journalists were willing to question. Some suggesting that Germany was hiding behind the truth, while only commenting on the positive side of Hitler's life. The opening ceremony would host over 100,000 people.

Sport managers engage in strategic planning, manage large numbers of human resources, deal with broadcasting contracts worth millions of dollars, manage the welfare of elite athletes who sometimes earn 100 times more than the average working wage. the three sectors of sport that involve sport managemnt is firstly the state or public sector that develop sport policy and provide funding to other sectors and support specialists roles such as athlete development. Second is the non-profit sector, made up of vounteers from community based clubs which provide competition and participation opportunities. the third sector is the professional sector comprising of professional teams, leagues and members.
